This was our main holiday for 2015 - a 7-berth motorhome, and a week to tour scotland. We didn’t have time to explore every corner, but made the best of it with the following itinerary:
1. Loch Lomond (quick overnighter)
2. Isle of Mull & Tobermory
4. Loch Ness
6. Trossachs National Park (quick overnighter)
We also stayed a night in Kendal on the way home so we were able to return the motorhome before 11am the following Saturday.
The highlights for me was the 'Sea Life Surveys' boat trip from Tobermory, which the kids loved, and also the day in the Cairngorms national park when we sunbathed and paddled on the shores of Loch Morlich (in early September), fed reindeer, and went up Cairngorm mountain in the ski lift.
Loch Ness and Nessieland was most underwhelming will forever be remembered as the place that served mouldy carrot cake to poor Ted, who now specifically asks for carrot cake without mould!
We all loved the motorhome and look forward to a similar adventure next year.
